ReadMisesNotMarx deals with the works and ideas of Ludwig von Mises and the Austrian School of Economics, as well as with their historical and contemporary assessment.
Different types of content are used in the process: historical primary sources, quotations, bibliographic information, our own editorial content, AI-assisted adaptations, and content and references from external authors and media.
On this page, we explain how these different types of content are treated and labeled.
1. Historical Works and Primary Sources
ReadMisesNotMarx uses historical works and sources in particular for research, documentation, and the communication of the ideas of Ludwig von Mises and other representatives of the Austrian School.
The copyright status of a work is, as a rule, assessed on the basis of the respective work, its author, the time of publication, and the specific edition used.
The fact that a historical original work is in the public domain or is no longer subject to copyright protection does not automatically mean that every modern edition of that work may also be used freely.
In particular, independent rights may exist in:
- modern translations,
- commentaries and introductions,
- scholarly editions,
- illustrations and photographs,
- typographic and design elements,
- database contents,
- digitizations or other independent adaptations.
ReadMisesNotMarx therefore endeavors to distinguish between the historical original work and rights in a specific modern edition or adaptation used.
2. Quotations
ReadMisesNotMarx may quote excerpts from historical and contemporary works, insofar as a corresponding legal basis exists.
Quotations are, where possible, provided with a traceable source reference.
This may include, in particular:
- author,
- title of the work,
- year of publication,
- edition or translation,
- chapter,
- page reference,
- URL or other place of reference.
Labeling a text as an original quotation means that ReadMisesNotMarx attributes the wording in question to a specific source.
Despite careful source processing, deviations may occur, in particular due to different editions, translations, OCR recognition, or digitized texts.
For scholarly, academic, or journalistic reuse, the primary source indicated in each case should therefore be verified independently.
3. Original Quotation and Modern Interpretation
ReadMisesNotMarx distinguishes between original historical statements and modern interpretations.
A statement expressly labeled as an original quotation is intended to be based directly on a stated historical source.
An interpretation, assessment, summary, or AI interpretation, by contrast, may apply historical ideas to new questions or current events.
Such modern presentations are not original historical statements by Ludwig von Mises or other historical persons.
This also applies if content is stylistically written from the perspective of a historical person or in the first person.
4. AI-Generated and AI-Assisted Content
ReadMisesNotMarx uses artificial intelligence for research, analysis, structuring, summarizing, translating, and preparing content.
AI systems may be used, in particular, to analyze historical lines of argument or to apply them to current questions.
New editorial presentations may arise in the process.
Such content is not presented as historical original sources.
Where a presentation is a modern reconstruction or interpretation of historical positions, this should be recognizable to users.
The use of artificial intelligence does not change the rights of third parties in the source materials used.
5. AI-Generated Audio Content
ReadMisesNotMarx may offer synthetically generated audio versions of texts.
Artificial intelligence may be used to generate a voice that supports a historical presentation.
Such audio recordings are not historical original recordings.
In particular, a synthetically generated depiction of Ludwig von Mises must not be understood as an authentic historical audio recording.
In the case of modern analyses or interpretations, the use of a corresponding synthetic voice does not mean that Ludwig von Mises actually made, approved, or foresaw the statements spoken.
AI-generated audio content is labeled accordingly.
6. Our Own Editorial Content
ReadMisesNotMarx's own texts, analyses, compilations, graphics, design elements, software components, and other independent content may be protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights.
Unless otherwise stated, the corresponding rights remain with the respective rights holder.
The public availability of content on ReadMisesNotMarx does not automatically mean that it may be copied, modified, used commercially, or republished in full at will.
Uses permitted by law remain unaffected.
7. External Community Content
ReadMisesNotMarx may present selected content from independent authors, media, Telegram channels, YouTube channels, and other external sources, or refer to them.
This may include, for example:
- texts,
- memes,
- images,
- videos,
- social media posts,
- comments, or
- other media content.
The rights in such content generally remain with the respective authors and rights holders.
By presenting third-party content, ReadMisesNotMarx does not claim authorship of it.
8. Clearance of External Content
Where external content is adopted directly on ReadMisesNotMarx or provided locally, this is intended to take place only if a corresponding permission, statutory authorization, or other legal basis exists.
In the case of community content in particular, corresponding clearances may be obtained from the respective channel operators or rights holders and documented internally.
Such a clearance does not change the authorship of the original content.
The original author, channel, or source is, where provided for, indicated on the content.
9. Attribution of a Source Is Not a Transfer of Rights
Indicating a source or linking to an original post does not automatically replace a required permission of use.
Conversely, the presentation of content on ReadMisesNotMarx does not mean that third parties may freely reuse that content solely on the basis of its presentation.
For any reuse, the rights in the respective content and the statutory possibilities of use must be examined independently.
10. Telegram
Selected content from public Telegram channels may be displayed on ReadMisesNotMarx after corresponding review and clearance.
Where images or other media are provided locally on ReadMisesNotMarx, existing rights remain with the respective rights holders.
The source or original channel is, where provided for, indicated on the respective content.
The display of Telegram content does not automatically mean that a business or editorial partnership exists between ReadMisesNotMarx and Telegram or the respective channel.
11. YouTube
ReadMisesNotMarx may refer to videos or channels on YouTube.
Rights in the respective videos, thumbnails, trademarks, and other content remain with the respective rights holders.
A link to or display of YouTube content does not automatically mean that ReadMisesNotMarx is affiliated with the respective channel or YouTube, or that it fully adopts their statements.
12. Other External Platforms
The same applies to content and references from other platforms, media, authors, and websites.
Trademarks, logos, names, images, texts, and other protected content of third parties remain with their respective rights holders.
The mention of a company, author, medium, platform, or trademark generally serves identification, source attribution, or contextual classification and does not, in itself, establish a business relationship or endorsement.
13. Translations
ReadMisesNotMarx may use its own, third-party, or AI-assisted translations of historical or modern texts.
A translation may raise its own copyright questions independently of the underlying original work.
A distinction is therefore made between historical original texts, existing translations, and our own or AI-assisted translations.
Where a translation was created by ReadMisesNotMarx itself or generated using artificial intelligence, this should, where relevant to understanding, be identified accordingly.
For important quotations, the historical original text or the stated primary source should additionally be consulted for purposes of source criticism.
14. PDFs, Books, and Library Content
The display of a book or document in the ReadMisesNotMarx library does not automatically mean that a complete digital copy of that work may be offered for free download.
Full texts or PDF files are provided only if, following our review, a corresponding legal basis exists.
For works whose complete provision is not legally intended, ReadMisesNotMarx may instead display only bibliographic information, short quotations, content descriptions, or links to external sources of purchase or reference.
15. Notices for Rights Holders

Even independently of legal complaints, notices of incorrect quotations, source references, translations, or historical attributions are welcome.
Such notices can likewise be sent to
info@dennysander.de
Comprehensible corrections may be incorporated into the relevant source or publication.
17. No Automatic Endorsement of Content
The inclusion, display, quotation, or linking of an external source does not automatically mean that ReadMisesNotMarx supports all views expressed there.
This applies in particular to historical documents, scholarly texts, news sources, social media posts, and community content.
Sources may also be displayed for purposes of documentation, analysis, criticism, or contextual classification.
18. Changes to These Rights Notices
These notices may be updated if new types of content, sources, media formats, or external platforms are integrated into ReadMisesNotMarx or if legal or technical conditions change.
The current version published on ReadMisesNotMarx applies.
